The Story of VISIONARY

Cluttered with boxes, old furniture, and equipment that hasn't been used in years, I thought to myself, "This could really be the end of something old and the beginning of something new" Hiring one bulk trash job after another, the more I began to clean the space , the more work that followed.


My mom being her jack of all trades super mom self, she eased my work load and we began to plan and strategize. I handled the management and expenses. She handled the.... well everything else including painting, furniture makeovers, glossing the floors, and assisting with my vision.


This space was occupied for 13 years as a "Storage Space." My dad used it for photoshoots and to bottle oils for our family business: Chinua Oils.

COVID-19 hit and EVERYTHING changed. My dad decided to let the space go. My friends on the art scene were struggling to find venues, entrepreneurs needed spaces to sell their items, and social media influencers needed a place where they can create content without being in their homes.

VISIONARY was birthed to become an affordable and solution based effort to those problems and dilemmas. It became the space where your "VISION" can become a reality.

All You Need To Know Info:

General Rules

A SECURITY DEPOSIT OF $100 IS DUE BEFORE THE EVENT. Refund of the full Security Deposit by Owner to Renter depends upon Renter's full performance of the following terms of this Agreement. Renter agrees in order to avoid a non-refundable Security Deposit:


A. The space is cleaned, all trash is swept and placed in a garbage bag. There is no trash left from your event in the hallway, bathroom , on the steps, or out front of the building. Renter shall remove all personal property, trash, and other items that were not present in the  venue when Renter took control of it. 

B. The renter leaves out ON TIME. Tip: Please create time to pack and clean up.If your booking ends at 8:00 p.m, you should start cleaning up 15-20 mins before to prevent your security deposit from being non-refundable. 

C. If any damages inflicted upon the venue ( items are broken, items are stolen, etc) by Renter and/or Renter’s associates, guests, invitees, contractors, and  all other persons whatsoever who enter the venue during the rental period, whether or not such  persons did so with Renter’s knowledge or consent, the security deposit is non-refundable.

D. All guests are to leave the premises after the event. Please do not hang outside. If guests are inside or outside of the building hanging after 10 mins of the event ending, your security deposit is non-refundable. 

E. If any of the art on the wall is damaged, destroyed, or stolen , the renter will be FULLY RESPONSIBLE for the price of how much the art is worth. Paintings range from $200-$3,000. 

F. No nails, screws, staples or penetrating items should be used on our walls. Any tape or gummed backing materials must be properly removed. If paint is removed from the usage of tape or if any damages occur (walls, floors, furniture, etc) , your security deposit will be non-refundable. 

G.DO NOT move or go behind the Black Curtain. It is off limits to renters and guests. If this is not respected, your $100 security deposit is non-refundable. 

H.Do NOT move furniture. Please notify us in advance if you need us to move furniture in the space to suit your event needs. If this is not respected, your $100 security deposit is non-refundable. 

I. There is NO SMOKING in the space or building at any time.No Exceptions. No glitter or confetti can be used. There is no open flame or frying allowed on site or any cooking that will create a large amount of smoke as our facility is not ventilated.

Enhanced COVID-19 Health & Safety Measures

Enhanced cleaning measures:
The space is cleaned and disinfected in accordance with guidelines from the CDC.
High touch surfaces and shared amenities have been disinfected.
Soft, porous materials have been properly cleaned or removed.
Bookings are spaced apart to allow for enhanced cleaning.
All hosts are required to do the following for each booking:
  • Sweep and clean the space after usage.
  • Supply hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol.
  • Inform guests of where bathrooms are to wash their hands

Cancelation Policy

Non- Refundable

All Bookings are non refundable , However, you can reschedule your booking for a later date with the amount of hours paid for at no additional charge.
